MN Bat Festival 2019
Over 1500 people joined us for the annual Bat Festival 2018 at the MN Valley National Wildlife Refuge! The event launched with a Science Night on Friday July 13th to help track bat activity on the trails!
The Festival ran July 14th at the MN Valley National Wildlife Refuge in Bloomington! People explored the bat cave, built a bat house & saw LIVE BATS!!!
The MN DNR recently found northern long eared bats on the Refuge, and we are all very excited. Go bats!

Come discover a new technology with the Discover Nature App at the MN Valley National Wildlife Refuge!
Between Water and Sky is a 4 week PAID summer arts program for youth 14-17 years old to engage in nature activities and discuss environmental issues impacting our local communities. Participants will spend their days exploring nature at the MN Valley National Wildlife Refuge and creating an innovative art installation to demonstrate the impact of plastic pollution on our environment.
