Art Shanty Project
Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge is partnering with RFI and some of the most talented and innovative artists in the Twin Cities to create this whimsical, educational, and eye-opening Monarch Art Shanty come February 2018.
The Art Shanty Projects is an artist driven temporary community exploring the ways in which relatively unregulated public spaces can be used as new and challenging artistic environments to expand notions of what art can be.
The Monarch Art Shanty is all about educating the community on monarch conservation. There will be mobile monarch bicycles (as seen above), make your own monarch to post on the roosting tree inside the shanty, and information on pollinator friendly plants. It will be an oasis of flowers and butterflies during one of the coldest months of the year! This event is FREE. Come join us in February!
